Action Quad new format

The Castle board has approved the following changes to the Action Quads beginning May 1:
Entry fee is $15 for Castle members if online by end-of-day Sunday, $20 if online by 6:00 PM Monday, $25 at site. Non-members are $5 more.
Time control is Game in 25 with a 10 second increment, (G/25; +10).
When a player signs up 1-day early, they help promote the event, so it's worth getting a cheaper rate. It also helps the TD prepare the event. Most events have an early entry discount, so we want to implement this in our Action Quads. We also reduced the additional amount for non-members, as there are 4-5 of these events each month, and non-member participation is very low.
The time control (G/25; +10) is a more standard time control, as the DGT clocks have a preset for this making it easier to reset the clocks that are on the DGT boards. It should also allow for a slightly improved endgame during time pressure given the additional thinking time, and hopefully less time pressure blunders.

Action Quads every Monday.
Format: Quads, Game in 25 with a 10 second increment (G/25;+10), 3 rounds, players grouped by rating.
Round Times: 1st round at 6:30 PM, remaining rounds ASAP.
Entry Fee: $15 for Castle members by Sun, $20 by Mon online, $25 at site, $5 more for non-members.
Prizes: $30 for 1st in each quad. If there is a Swiss lower section, then 1st $30 and $15 class prize.
Registration: Online by 6 pm Mon, CLICK HERE! Onsite registration and check-in 6:00-6:20 PM.
Other: USCF membership is required. Games may be broadcast. Most games are done by 10:00 PM.
