FIDE titled players (FM, IM, GM) enter free (any prizes won will be reduced by $50), FIDE rated players: $50
FIDE unrated and rated at or over 1600 USCF: $70
FIDE unrated and rated under 1600 USCF: $90

Prizes (Based on 30):  1st: $400, 2nd: $250, 3rd: $150; Best FIDE unrated: $150

U1600 (USCF rated):

Entry fees: $40

Prizes (Based on 30): 1st: $250, 2nd: $200, 3rd: $150; Best U1400: $100

Additional prizes: Top 10 scholastic finishers will each get a copy of the invaluable book:

Test, Evaluate and Improve Your Chess” by IM Danny Kopec and Hal Terrie (RRP: $22.95)

 

 

Round Times and Time Control:

Time Control for all 5 rounds will be Game/90 + 30 second cumulative increment per move

1st Round: 10:00AM, Saturday, May 22, 2010

2nd Round: 3:00PM, Saturday, May 22, 2010

3rd Round: 7:30PM, Saturday, May 22, 2010

4th Round, 11:00AM, Sunday, May 23, 2010

5th Round, 4:00PM, Sunday, May 23, 2010

Other information:

·         One ½ point Bye will be allowed in Rounds 1-4.  Request for Byes must be submitted during registration or by the end of Round 1.

·         USCF - May 2010 Rating List will be used for pairing purposes.

·         FIDE rules will be used in the FIDE Rated Open section.

·         Games on the top 10 boards in the FIDE Rated Open section will be live broadcast on the MonRoi website.
